The Community service program has contributed considerable hours in the clearing and cleanup of storm related debris. During severe weather the facility also assists neighboring counties in their road clearing efforts to allow faster emergency response. Below are some of the incidents in which the community service program assisted. In total more than 13,000 man-hours have been used in these efforts.

• Hopkins County tornado of November 2005.
• Christian County tornado of April 2006.
• Muhlenberg County tornado of February 2008.
• Hurricane Ike wind storm of September 2008.
• Ice storm of January 2009.
