The Jail Recycling program was started in the fall on 2007 in an effort to reduce the amount of waste being sent to the county landfill. The Jail now recycles paper, plastic bottles, cardboard and metal from the canned food items. The metal cans are sold to a local scrap yard and has generated more than the cost of starting the program. |
